Celadon Ranch Estates
Nestled just north of Durango, Colorado, in the lush Animas Valley, Celadon Estates represents a harmonious blend of architectural elegance and environmental stewardship. The residence, envisioned by International Architect Jim Rothwell and realized by the skilled Mantell-Hecathorn Builders, came to Oxbow through a client referral, setting the stage for a unique project that leveraged our expertise in navigating complex terrains.
Specializing in managing steep mountainous areas and sensitive wetland ecosystems, Oxbow was faced with the challenge of addressing the heightened wildfire risk inherent to the estate's location on the windward side of steep slopes. The homeowner's aspiration to improve the health of the forest ecosystem while implementing comprehensive fire mitigation across the sprawling 35-acre property aligned perfectly with our capabilities. Oxbow provided a full spectrum of land services, including landscape construction and extensive fire mitigation efforts.
The result of our engagement was a revitalized forest ecosystem, marked by increased moisture levels and the flourishing of healthy vegetation, surpassing initial expectations. This endeavor at Celadon Ranch Estates highlights Oxbow's adeptness at integrating environmental preservation with aesthetic and practical considerations, ensuring a safer and more vibrant natural habitat for the estate.
